About Me

Congratulations on your growing family! My name is Marie-Eve Breton and I have been a birth and postpartum doula since 2017.

I became a birth doula because I wanted to support women and their families during this precious, vulnerable and powerful time. During my work as a birth doula, I have had the honour of supporting the birth of new families and the privilege of witnessing how having continuous, unbiased support can allow new moms to begin their journey as mothers feeling safe and confident.

The birth of a baby has such a huge impact on the atmosphere in the room: suddenly, the room is buzzing with love and excitement for this new life… but this buzz is often mixed with lots of questions, confusion and worry. I decided to train as a postpartum doula because, while I agree that birth is a big, memorable day that is worth preparing for, it is certainly not when the questions stop, and certainly not when the need for support ends!

It is easy to feel overwhelmed by all the fear and contradicting information there is to be found about pregnancy, labor and babies! During my work as a doula, I have had the pleasure of learning that with the right support system, evidence-based information and honesty about the beauty as well as the challenges of birth and early parenthood, all families can eventually find their groove.
